Staged in the Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School Performing Arts Centre, Faure’s Requiem will be a highlight of a concert that also includes other works by Faure including the Cantique de Jean Racine.

Soloists include soprano Janet Todd and baritone Matthew Tng. Janet Gibbs will accompany on organ and piano and Qianying Ong on harp.

MAY PERFORMANCE OF MOZART

On Sunday May 15, 2011, Heidelberg Choral Society will give two performances of an all Mozart program.

Staged in the Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School Performing Arts Centre, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor (The Great Mass K427) will be a choral highlight of a concert that also includes the Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C Major (K314), Gloria from the 12^th Mass, and the very beautiful Voyagers’ Chorus from Mozart’s opera Idomeneo.

Soloists appearing with Heidelberg Choral include sopranos Hannah Dahlenburg and Rosel Labone, Timothy Jacques (Tenor) and Nicholas Dinopoulos (Bass) and Jessica Foot (Oboe) - former principal oboe player for the Australian Youth Orchestra.
